Why Wait?

ree

"Even as this life (a pointsettia) is made manifest in this beauty, once it was a seed planted beneath the soil, not seen with eyes. Within it was the intelligence to say to it, ‘I shall come forth as a red flower with green leaves and I shall not be called a rose or a tulip. I shall be called a pointsettia. I shall not be lilac.’

How think you that you came forth? Think you there was not within you the Christ who said, ‘I shall come forth as so-and-so?’ ‘That I shall in my manifestation know of what color hair and eyes I shall have, and of how long my legs shall be and how I shall speak?’

Think you not that you have not the intelligence within you that this beauteous manifestation (the pointsettia) has within itself? Behold you God! Behold you God. You think you must look up there for him? Indeed not. Here he comes forth in all his glory saying unto you, ‘See my form. Behold, I come before you and you step over me and you look elsewhere.

Beloved of God, the Christ within you lies waiting, as did the flower. You must bring it forth. ...There is no truth greater than yourself. No one can say anything to you that will awaken you and cause you to be more than what your own heart could speak.

The Holy Spirit waits to speak within you as the Christ waits to come forth within you and be it. I or whoever, we have only words, only tools, to give to you. Tis you who must bring it forth. Tis you who must come forth in all of your glory.

Know you how beauteous you are? I look at your faces and I think how sad they do not see the beauty in themselves. ...See you not the Christ? See you not the Holy Spirit? See you not the beauty that is your own? You look for signs and wonders. You wait for Christmas. Why wait you? Why wait you until a certain day of a certain month of your time? Behold, is it not there always?”
