"Everyday life, beloveds, is where it (spirituality) all begins. It doesn't begin on a grand scale; it begins in the everyday 'nitsy-gritsies.' Challenges are there for you to exercise your spirituality and to have dominion over them. They are like the 'lions and tigers and bears' of the woods. Everyday, you all meet challenges of one kind or another: challenges that demand your time, your energy, your interests; challenges that give you reason to sacrifice on the altar of 'what must be done' that which you desire to do. And you can argue for those challenges and limitations; you can find every justification for them. But, the bottom line is: until you are willing to ride through the fire that tests your beliefs in you, and go above all of that, you are never going to be president of your internal country... never! If you cannot meet the challenges of everyday life, how will you meet the challenges that are to come? ...There will be great challenges; not destructive ones but life-giving ones; and you will have to choose. That is where your discernment comes in.
You will have to discern, 'Am I to listen to the voice of the ego, which will argue for my limitations, or am I to listen to the divine voice of my intuition, which will give me freedom?' ...You only think you have freedom; you do not know freedom. You are living in such limited conditions - all of you - that freedom is only a word to you now; it is not yet an experience. I am here to teach you how to have the experience of total freedom because that is when: You can do what you desire to do when you desire to do it; and you will not have to wait for an opportune moment.
To have dominion over your world means to have dominion over the world that you have created of limitations, It is when you slay your dragons and free the 'little princess' of you that is in the tower waiting - that princess is your knowing-ness.
