No Power

"Now, the ego, of itself, has no dominion. The only power that it has is what you give it, when you believe in it - when you say, 'Oh, I can't do this because I am not well,' or 'I can't do that because I am limited in some way,' or 'My true love has gone astray,' or something of that sort. This is the ego's voice, and that's what you are listening to and believing in. So what is happening... you are not coming up out of the ego, and into the pureness of your Spirit. You are experiencing the game of have and have not that the ego has created."
