Entrapment of Your Consciousness

“The ego of you was created as a device to keep you from harming your physical bodies when you had chosen to enter upon the earth plane. The ego is sort of your built-in alarm system, if you will. It warns you constantly to be mindful of this, be careful of that, look out for this, and so on and so forth. However, in your journey upon the earth, you chose to allow it to rule you, and soon you were listening to it rather than the Lord God of your being…

Your physical forms are that which you occupy while you are in the three-dimensional world, and since the ego is closely associated with the physical form but not limited to it, it likes to keep your consciousness - your awareness, your thoughts – centered on your physical form, concerning you always with its well-being – are you too hot, are you too cold, are you fed, are you hungry, are you old, are you young, are you well, are you ill, are you rich, are you poor, and on and on and on.

Now, the thing that happens is that as you allow your consciousness to be drawn into that entrapment, you find it more and more difficult to engage in the fullness of the Spirit of you. Therefore, you concern yourselves in this manner: You feel that you are human beings struggling to become spiritual beings, hoping that you are on the path and hoping that you are doing everything you are supposed to be doing and that you are not doing anything that you are not supposed to be doing, and you occupy yourselves grandly with all of the ‘What’s wrong with you’s?’ that you can think of.

Now, in doing this, what is happening to the spiritual aspect of you? It’s sort of hanging in the wings, as it were, waiting for it to be called on stage and to be lived from. But as long as you are occupying your thoughts with your ego selves, you are not going to be concerning yourself in a positive contact way with your spiritual Selves… I see you as the totality of the God-ness of you. And that is how you should be seeing you.”
