All Forgiveness

“Beloved woman, all forgiveness has to do with the self, all forgiveness. Even though it appears to you that you need to forgive somebody out here, ultimately you recognize that you agreed to participate in whatever it was that happened, and you can look at it and you can think, “Why did I ever do that? That was so dumb of me. Why would I have wanted to participate in something like that?’ And then the blame comes, like a wave that goes backwards. It comes back on you and you think, ‘I should have never gotten involved. I should have never allowed this. I should have never agreed to participate.’

And when you start thinking like that, you are blaming yourself, and self-forgiveness is very difficult. People can easily forgive another quicker than they can forgive themselves. But there is where you have to say, ‘Dear God, I can’t love me right now. I can’t love me, but You can love me and hold me in love until I can love myself again. And help me to love myself again.”
