Your Soul

“Participant: Gabriel, can you tell us where our soul is? Is it something we carry around with us? Is it something that...?

Gabriel: It is something that interpenetrates you... it is around you... it is through you. It is attached in several places. It is attached up here at the top of your head... It is attached here at your throat... and most profoundly in the solar plexus.

Participant: …Does the Soul have an electromagnetic field?

Gabriel: Oh, indeed. …The soul can be measured. … if you were to weigh the soul by earthly means, it would weigh about 2 lbs. There is no living thing that does not have a soul... this flower has a soul... every living thing has a soul. Page 91

Participant: Okay. After we pass into spirit, is there any point at which the soul disintegrates itself from the personality... the Earthly personality?

Gabriel: Yes, from the Earthly personality... from the Spirit Self of you, never. The Earthly personality does separate from the Soul. Let me explain what I mean by that.

This is what happens to all of the perceived personalities that you manifest in various lifetimes: as you go upward, they all come together. You gather them all together and they all are combined into what becomes the total-ness of you. So, you don't leave anyone behind, as it were. You gather all of these personalities together.

What happens is this: the personalities become detached from anything that would prevent them from going upward. The Soul, because it is loving, gathers these ‘personalities’, so to say, and takes them upward where they all meld into one -  I can't even say meld into one personality, for in truth, you are not a personality, that is something you created - but it is these personalities which are gathered into the is-ness of you. So, do the personalities remain as individual personalities? No. There is a detachment [of the personalities] from the Soul, yes.

Participant: I was thinking you used the example of Elvis, who cannot climb up into the next plane because he's drawn back constantly due to his ego and the reverence people give him. But, at some point, his Soul has got to forget about Elvis and move on.

Gabriel: Yes that is true., and at some point he will. It took your president Lincoln a long time to leave the Earth because he was so deeply loved and so much missed, and people constantly fed that memory. But, after a bit, that subsided. Now he leaves the Earth because the thoughts of him are not intense.”
