"What happens when you ask for something? It implies lack of it. Does it not? When you ask for something, you are implying that you do not already have it. Therefore, you are depending on an outside source to bring it to you because you, yourself, do not have it. This is one of the biggest ways to separate yourself from the Father. When you perceive you are lacking something and you ask the Father to give it unto you, you have already closed the door to receiving it. ... The true way to ask is to come into the consciousness of the acceptance of that which you desire. For when you ask in an attitude of lack, your prayer will be answered in an attitude of lack."
