The Meaning of Christmas

            “Know you why the Master Jesus came forth unto the earth plane in a simple place, a cave actually it was? A stable, as you call it, where they're creatures, cattle and so forth. Know you why he chose that? To symbolize the simplicity that is the holiness of you. You have made your lives complicated. You have made your perceptions complicated. And in the complicated way that you think, the simplicity of the pureness of the spirit of you has escaped your ability to understand. You find it such a simple thing that surely it cannot be so. And yet it is.

            Now the purpose of Christmas was to allow you to become aware of that divinity within you - of the Christ within you. That is the whole purpose of it.

            Know you how the Master Jesus taught you that? He said, ‘I am the way, the truth and the life and no man comes unto the Father except by me.’ Now the Christians, down through the ages, have taken that to mean that unless you are Christian you cannot approach the throne of God, as it were. What it means is the ‘I AM’ are the power words of the God within you and that is the way that you find your Father. It is the truth of your being. It is the life that you are, and this is what he was referring to.

            There is no way to God in which a single individual can go by themselves. Bothers you a little bit? Think you can't get there by yourself? Well, you can't. Because there is no way in which a person living only unto themselves, with no love flowing out to a brother, can make it into heaven, as it were. And the reason being that what happens to one of you, happens to all of you. And every time there is a concept of the Godness in you into your awareness, you are lifted up, and in so doing, you are lifting up all of mankind

            Now when you reach out to another, and you bless, and you love them, you are healing them. You are healing them from the internal self of them and that is the only healing that can happen. Because there is an inner connectedness with every form of life, there cannot be a single form of life that reaches unto the heavens, as it were, that does not affect the consciousness of every other form.

            Why think you after all your perceived years on earth that the Master Jesus and Christianity is still going strong in its rather adulterated form but, none the less, it is still apparent upon your earth? It isn't through the teachings of the churches. It is through the truth of what he is. And what you are, and that connectedness is what brings up into awareness your ability to know that you are God.

            Know you how upon your earth plane you perceive things to be rather hazardous? You concern yourselves about the days to come because there are people like myself and others who go around telling you all of the tragic things that are going to happen. Eh? We warn you of earthquakes and all kinds of things. We remind you that you are rather fragile, do we not?

            But, at the same time, are we not teaching you that this is the external self of you and not the internal self of you that would appear to be so fragile? We are teaching you ever that you do not have to be affected by the changes upon the earth plane. We are teaching you ever that you are more, much more than anything that could happen to you.

            It is this moreness of you that is the God-Self of you. And this is what Christmas is all about. It is the becoming aware of the birthing within you of your own acceptance and love of the God within you.”
