The Garden

"Now had he (i.e. Jesus) not gone into the garden and had he not brought himself into that Christ consciousness, he would have perished on the cross, for he would not have been able to overcome the pain of the physical body and the belief in limitations. He would not have been able to free himself from the horror. ...When they nailed the body there, he was able to withdraw enough that the pain thereof did not affect him. It did not entrap him in that. ...He withdrew enough to keep his awareness centered in the Christ within him, centered in the light."
