Talk to God

"God never closes His door but you close yours. You close it in fear, in guilt, in shame, and in a thousand things. And getting yourself reconnected to that established knowing that you once had - that you were created with, that you and God are one - that helps you to see yourself as someone loved by God because until you believe that God loves you, you're not going to believe that only good comes to you. You're not going to be able to believe, 'This has come to bless me,' because you're still going to have your walls of guilt. But when you know God loves you, it helps you to talk to God about why you feel guilty. It helps you to say, 'Father, I perceive that I have done thus-and-so and I know now that it was not a correct thing for me to do and I'm very sorry that I did it but the fact remains I did it and I can't undo it but I can accept that I am forgiven. I can accept that You love me and You hold nothing against me. I can accept Your peace. I can know that you love me.' Now you might have to say that a hundred times a day, but you begin, and you say it and you feel it. You feel it and as you do, the walls come down."
