Putting Ego in Its Place

"The true work of the ego is to help you. But when the ego gets unreasonable and is causing you to be fearful of things you really don't need to be fearful of, then you need to put your ego in its place. You simply bless it. You say, 'Ego, I bless you. I love you. I thank you for the purpose that you were created. Now get out of my way and do what you are supposed to do!' It is that simple. The ego is very obedient because it recognizes the only life it has is what you give it."
