Protection

“Some years back, when Beloved Woman was a young girl, she was coming home from her job and had a long way to walk and it was dark. …As she got off the bus, a man she did not know also got off the bus and he paused to light a cigarette. She walked on and she knew he was following her. …So she said, ‘Do I need to be afraid?’ And this voice said to her, ‘No, you are safe.’ She is looking about this remote area and hearing this man walking behind her. She thought, ‘Well, what if I am not?’ And this voice said to her, ‘No, you are safe’, and out of the bushes stepped a great large dog and the dog walked right beside her. She stroked him and loved him and petted him. The man saw the dog and turned around and left.

…As Beloved Woman got to the door of her home, she called her mother to come and see this wonderful dog she had brought home. Her mother came to the door and Beloved Woman said, ‘Mom, look at this,’ and the dog disappeared into thin air right before their eyes. The dog was a manifestation of the protection that she had and he manifested not for her sake but for the man to see. But if she had listened to fear, if she had said, ‘Oh no, I am not safe. I am not safe,’ that manifestation would not have happened because her fear would have dissolved it. But she trusted. Now you have to trust your intuition because it will always see you through. It will never, never lie to you.”
