Prayer and Meditation

Questioner: You mentioned that prayer is between me and the Father?

Gabriel: The Father within you - the God within you. It is from the heart center of you to the spiritual center of you, which is the God of you.

Questioner: But what is meditation then?

Gabriel: Meditation is when you are supposed to be, not many of you do, but you are supposed to be listening to that which comes from the spirit center, the God of you unto your consciousness.

Questioner: Like prayer is talking and meditation is listening.

Gabriel: Indeed. Prayer is when your desire is to make something known, to express it. God does not need you to pray, for He already knows. But you need to pray because you need to express unto Him, unto the highest, that which needs to be known.

Meditation is when you still the senses and you allow that which you have asked to filter into you… It comes from the spirit and it filters into your consciousness, into your conscious centers. So, it filters down in meditation, in knowingness. It may not come in words in your ears, but it will come into your heart, into your knowingness.

Everything that comes unto you from the spirit comes through your heart center, simply because that is where your feeling nature is. And you cannot know anything until you feel it. You only know that which you feel. You may know something with your mind - that is intellectualizing. But you do not really know it until you have felt it. That which you have felt ever is that which you know.”
