Other Personalities

“Participant: I understand that when people die, it is perceived that they review their life... their past incarnation. When that's going on, are they just reviewing the most recent, the one that the body died in?

Gabriel: Usually, they do that, yes. They can review as many or as few as they choose. They can go and observe from the Spirit the experiences of another personality that is connected to their Spirit.

Participant: And it would be just as familiar as if we were still there?

Gabriel: Oh indeed. In fact, frequently, what you perceive to be your guides are merely aspects of your Spirit who have lived other experiences, different experiences, and have more wisdom or something that can help you in a particular experience. …Let us suppose (i.e. writing on chalkboard) this little glob is one aspect of your personality and it passes into Spirit. Over here is another glob that is still upon the Earth plane and it finds itself in great distress. Because you are both from the same Spirit, you both have an interest in this poor little glob over here on Earth. So you [glob #1] would come over and say, ‘Oh indeed. Let me help you [glob #2]. Of course, you would have two different names, two different identities, and two different personalities. So you [glob #1]would appear to be someone external to yourself – which, in form, they [the globs] are separate.”

…Now some of you do have master teachers that are a part of your Spirit. In fact, just about everybody does. There are master teachers and then there are Master Teachers. However, they are all human, and you will always be attracted to the master teacher that is a part of your Spirit.

Participant: Is there any rule about how many of these personalities tend to be in one Soul? And the second question is: can one ever meet these other Souls and recognize them? Or is it pure coincidence, or is it orchestrated to not meet other parts of one’s self?

Gabriel: Most of the time, you don't meet. That isn't to say that you can't; but, most of the time, you don't. The reason being, you can become quite obsessed with each other. There are so many things you just know about each other that you become so enthralled you get in each other's way. It is sort of like living in a house full of mirrors where no matter where you go, you can observe yourself. After a while, you don't want to leave because you feel that when you are outside the house, you are in unfamiliar territory because you can't see yourself.

Participant: All these different personalities…one might be in this time frame now…one could be in an ancient Egyptian, and one could be the 17th century…

Gabriel: That is true.

Participant: And so, we wouldn’t meet anyway.

Gabriel: And some of you are in the future.”
