Mental Energy Manifests

"The mental process of you is in direct alignment with what you term to be universal mind. It is that direct linkage that gives you the ability to create, for from your thought processes you create. ...The mental process of your thinking and creating ability is so rapid and so powerful that you create from moment-to-moment those things which you are thinking. But because you do not know how to hold those energies there, they come, and they are gone before they can take an actual form.

This is why we bring you things such as affirmations. This is why humankind has been taught to pray and so forth. It is because the ability to hold mental energy is the process by which you bring into manifestation - into physical form - those things which you desire.

Now the reason being that you often get opposite results of what you have been thinking is simply because, when that mental energy comes down into your feeling nature... it's given a shot of emotional adrenaline, and it will bring with its power a super surge of energy which will produce whatever that feeling nature is in alignment with.

Now, even the most positive thinkers are more aligned with fear than they are without fear. So, what happens is, you bring in your mental energy... into your emotional body. There it meets with fear and the fear molds the outcome. And this is why you end up with rather messed-up results.

...Mental energy is like the ocean in its power and force. It is always moving, and it has the creative power of the spirit which is God that is in it. Now mental energy has no sense of direction of its own any more than the ocean does. The ocean goes by the tide... It follows a certain course, but it doesn't reason out that course. It simply follows it.

Now the God part of you is that force within the mental energy that you have. Now, as God is in the ocean but is not limited to the ocean, so you are in that mental force and that mental force is within you, but you are not limited to that mental force. ...Now the power of the mental energy does not have a direction of its own. You direct your portion of mental energy... through your thought processes.

Now when you bring that energy into play, then it becomes under your direction. And that is where you lose a lot of the time because you bring it in under your direction and then you don't hold it. Now by holding it, I mean keeping control of your thoughts and this takes practice. ...The slightest thing can throw you all off.

...Now what happens is: your thought process comes down into your feeling nature. Now you must learn not to react with your emotions because that is where you lose it. Your mental bodies are the perfect instruments for the appropriation and use of mental energies. They are created only for that purpose and no other. Your minds are perfect in every way. I didn't say your brains; I said your minds are perfect in every way. Because you are mentally capable of pulling in and utilizing that mental energy, you are the creators of your worlds.

Now we are going to do a little exercise. ...I want you to forget that you have a physical body. I want you to pretend you do not have an emotional body. I want you to think of yourself as a purely mental form. Now you can picture that form any way that you desire. Picture yourself as totally mental, a great machine of mental energy. Your only purpose is to produce, in form, whatever comes into your mind's eye. You choose. ...It will be produced exactly as you believe it to be, and nothing can change it. It will manifest for you perfectly as you have thought it.

Now what you have just done is a truth. That is exactly the simplicity with which the mind body of you operates. ...Now let us take that finished product of your mind, whatever you created, and let us bring it into a wind tunnel. The tunnel is round and the wind in there is extremely powerful. And it rips and tears and pushes and pulls and little-by-little it begins to shred this perfectly-formed mental thought. ...You make your way through the wind tunnel with your thought form. And you get out on the other side, and you look at it, and you don't recognize it. ...Instead of this perfectly formed idea, you have tatters and shreds.

Now it's that simple a process of what happens when you bring this energy into your mental body. You create with it, and you bring it into the wind tunnel, which is your emotional body. And you let your emotional body blow and tear and rip until your wonderful idea emerges on the other side not recognizable by you at all. And then you hold your hands up to God and say, 'Why did you do this to me?'

If, when you bring your perfect ideas into the wind tunnel, you would reach up and touch the switch to 'Off,' so that when you walk through your emotional body, there is a gentle, sweet breeze that enlivens and plays with your hair and takes you out on the other side with your perfectly formed idea still quite intact, wrapped perhaps with a few pink ribbons of love, then you would go forth with your wonderous idea. And it is that simple."
