"Since you cannot pass away every night... what happens is that you withdraw from your physical body without severing the cord that attaches into the solar plexus and keeps you attached to your body... and then you just travel wherever you will. ...Now, the astral body is of a certain vibration and will vibrate only on the astral plane. ...So it travels about the astral plane. Now, the astral plane is a very vast, limitless place to be. You can go to the lower part, which is dark and not pleasant at all, or you can go up to the higher astral where it is very wonderous indeed. So you travel wherever you choose. That is where your dreams come from. That is what you perceive to be dreaming...is your travels on the astral plane."
