Balanced Giving

"When one gives love, one does not bend over. When one gives love, one stands forth. In standing straight, you keep yourself connected. When one bends over, one breaks the connection. Now what I mean by this is simply that in bending to give love, you bring yourself down into the situation of the needy person, and you are no help to them in that way. But when you remain straight, you give love, and they must come up out of their need to receive."
