“One of the worst things that can happen to a person is to become deeply embroiled in a religious organization – not because the religious organization is evil but simply because they tend to follow what was done yesterday. They don’t go forward in their learning. This is true of any religion. I’m not poking holes at Christianity particularly, it’s true of any religion, just as it’s true of any set-in-concrete ideas. There’s a difference between holding fast to a truth and refusing to learn something new – they’re not the same thing.”

Your Dreams

"When you dream, you travel about in the astral plane. You create in the astral and those creations hang around you. Sometimes the dreams you have are things that are going to happen or sometimes you are just traveling back into something that used to be. Now remember, when you enter back into the body to wake up, as you call it, sometimes in entering, the brain distorts what you have dreamed and you remember it differently than what it really was. But that is all dreams are.

Question: Can you change your dreams?

Oh, you can program to dream what you want to. If you would like to have a lovely dream about this or that, then you will. But dreams are illusions. You don't get caught in your dreams because they are all illusions. They are there as long as you put your energy in them and when you stop putting energy in them, they dissipate."

Blocks to Our Reasoning

"But what happens when you become angry? The only thing that enters (i.e. you) is the form of the anger. Whatever form that anger takes enters in and blocks your reasoning, blocks your mental energies from coming down and giving you a clear-thinking process.

It comes down into the emotional body and wreaks havoc there. Fear grows and grows and grows, until after a while it wraps itself around you and you cannot see the spiritual light of you. That is why we are ever teaching you to get rid of fear because fear is like a dark cloud that wraps about the light that you are and obliterates it.”
