"The etheric body is a very real thing. It is visible. The etheric body has all of the organs of the physical body, everything. It is an exact duplicate of it in a finer vibration. It is the next step up from the physical. It is finer, more gossamer in appearance. Of all of the bodies connected to the physical body, it only disintegrates when the body dies. The etheric body will disintegrate at the same rate that the physical body disintegrates.
Question: So you are not defining etheric as the ethers that exist in all of space? When you say etheric, that is the immediate dimension surrounding the body?
Gabriel: Your scientific word meaning nonphysical but filling all space is called the etheric or the ethers. The ethers are one step up in vibration from solid form. There are degrees of it. For example, the etheric body of your physical body stands out about one inch in a blue-gray line all around your physical form.
There are degrees of that. As it goes higher and more rapid in vibration, it becomes finer and finer until it merges into the astral body. Now the astral body also becomes finer and finer until it merges with the mental body and then the mental body becomes finer and finer until it merges into the spirit. So there are degrees of the ethers as there are degrees of the physical."
