“Now, God loves you. Whether you know it or not, God loves you. But when you know God loves you, it helps you to talk to God about why you feel guilty. It helps you to say, ‘Father, I perceived that I have done thus-and-so and I know now that it was not a correct thing for me to do and I'm very sorry that I did it, but the fact remains I did it and I can't undo it but I can accept that I am forgiven. I can accept that you love me and you hold nothing against me. I can accept your peace. I can know that you love me.’
Now you might have to say that 100 times a day but you begin and you say it and you feel it. You feel it, and as you do, those walls come down. They crumble. Holes come in them till after a bit, they fall completely away and you are free.
Now you have to understand that most people very rarely do anything so-called bad on purpose, and most of you realize your so-called mistakes only in retrospect, only as you think back on it, but at the moment it's going on, it seems all right at the moment doesn't it? And only afterwards you think, ‘Uhh I never should have done that.’
If you hold to guilt then you are not forgiving yourself and if you don't forgive yourself, then you can't give someone else. You cannot reach out in forgiveness to another until you forgive yourself, until you say, ‘I'm all right. I didn't mean any harm and I'm really, really all right.’
And talk to God every day about how you feel. You know, people think they only can say certain words to God. …The thing is, when you rise in the morning, if you are in a foul mood you say, ‘Dear God, I am in a terrible mood. I don't like being in this mood. I want to be in a peaceful mood. Please grant me a peaceful mood.’ Then you can talk to God as you go on your way to work. You can say, ‘Look at that idiot ahead of us, God. Would you please bless them out of my way. Thank you, Father, I'm grateful for your help.’
…Engage God in conversation. Bring that awareness into your life in your everyday things. It's called ‘Practicing the Presence,’ and there is nothing that gets rid of guilt or sorrow or anything or breaks down the barriers of the walls of guilt faster than engaging God in every part of your life. Now, you don't have to talk out loud to him if you're in a group. You can talk in your mind.
Now, the point is that anything, anything, anything that connects you to your God's self, to that awareness of the presence of God with you always, ever is the only way that you're going to break away the walls of guilt, even though they be 2000 years old, or break away anger, break away feelings of unforgiveness, break away anything that keeps you from that at-one-moment with God. Hold conversations with Him about everything from what you're going to wear that day, to anything on earth that you want to talk about. It's a wonderful practice.
Participant: So this conversation with God will help us balance everything?
Gabriel: Yes, because what it does, beloved woman, it opens the channels that you have closed between you and the awareness of God's presence in your life. And when you do that, it purges you. It brings up issues that you can look at quite objectively, without your emotions getting in and you can clear away a lot of debris that you have accumulated
Participant: So ,in doing this, we're breaking down the barriers so that this healing that everyone's been sending us can flow in.
Gabriel: Absolutely, it is coming in because you don't have any resistance to it.
Participant: And even though some of us may already have a resistance ourselves, that we're not consciously aware of, this will break that away?
Gabriel: Indeed, it will, because what you're doing, beloved woman, you are bringing in the power of your own God self, of your connectedness to God, and when you do that, it breaks down every barrier. Perfect love casts out fear, and that's what this is doing, connecting you to that perfect love.
Participant: So it's building trust.
Gabriel: Building trust, indeed.
Participant: … When we have daily conversations with God and we are breaking away that barrier, that wall, does that disappear some of the memories of our of our soul?
Gabriel: Oh, indeed. Whenever you willingly release something, what you perceive to be a past mistake or whatever that would cause you guilt and so forth, whenever that happens, it just is blinked right out of the sole memory. It's just gone.
Participant: It's gone. And that also goes for an illness in our physical body that may have come from a past life?
Gabriel: Yes. …Well, that's the other thing perhaps I should address. Illness is brought about in this life, manifesting in this life, that has started in another lifetime. A lot of times your thought process, from what you perceive to be a previous lifetime, we'll have seed effects. In other words, there will be seeds sown in your subconscious mind that would bring you into the manifestation of an illness. Now you can change that at any point. All you have to do is change your mind. ‘I do not want this illness, I do not want to manifest this kind of negativity.’
The other thing is, your past… you are a result now, today in your time, of what you have been, the collective ideas of what you have lived in other lifetimes. In other words, your belief system - not who you were or what type of work you did - but your belief system from other lifetimes makes you what you are this day in time, and this lifetime will make you what you would be in your next and so on and so forth. So, if you want to get rid of the garbage, so to speak, you will be changing all the future lifetimes that you have by getting rid of all the gook now.”
