"Now, let me tell you something...everyone chooses what comes into their life. It would appear that the actions of the parents have a great deal to do with the children's lives and what happens therein. But remember this, no soul comes unto the earth excepting they know what they are getting into before they come, for you select your experiences well before you come, and if you need parents who are abusive in order that you might learn unconditional love, then that is what you will choose. Remember ever that all of you are ever interacting with each other in order that you all might grow.
Now, for example, if you perceived that another has ill-treated you, you have agreed with that soul before either of you came unto the earth plane for that soul to behave in a certain manner. It is the interaction between you. This is why you have no external enemy, for even a person who would appear to be abusive to you is doing so because this is what you perceived you needed in order to grow. This is why forgiveness is so important. You cannot blame another for what you have asked them to do.
Now, this is a little difficult to understand at first, because you think, 'I cannot imagine that I would ever ask anyone to do this and that.' But on some level, there had to be an agreement or it would not have happened. There are no accidents. There are no victims. Every wound is self-inflicted. Now, why you would choose to be wounded is your own decision. God does not require it of you, that is for sure. So your behavior, whatever you perceive it to be that you fear has so affected your children, those souls knew before they came here, beloved woman, what was going to happen. They required that. They asked for that experience.
Now, this doesn't mean that this gives you the right to go out and be abusive. Ever be loving. Gentleness is the greatest form of strength. But whatever has happened to you or whatever you perceived you have done to another, on some level the two of you have agreed to it or it never would have happened, ever.
There are no accidents. And while this is a difficult thing, when it is much easier and you are more used to blaming somebody for something, you have to recognize that if you had not asked for it as a form of growth, then it never would have happened. That person would have never come in to your pathway, or you into theirs.
When you think how many people you know and compare it to how many people you don't know, you can come to understand that every single person that you know is significant in your life for some reason, because there are a great many more that you don't know than that you do know."
